Here are some things to try as you troubleshoot a jammed garage door.

However if you encounter resistance stop.
If something you re storing in your garage fell on the track while the door was opening it could get stuck in the track.
Check for an obstruction visually inspect the track and see if something is wedged in it to obstruct it.
This is a none too uncommon problem on newly installed garage doors where the opener might be set to an arbitrary factory setting that doesn t suit the door in question.
Check to see if anything a shovel broom etc fell and is now stuck in the track that is causing it to be lodged.
This can be a quick fix by identifying the object and then removing it.
A garage door stuck in the closed position may tempt you to crash on through but don t let frustration get the better of you.

A garage door stuck closed is often the result of misadjusted sensitivity settings.
